3 random things

So yeah... shortly after my last post i finally GOT A JOB!

is it the greatest thing in the world? nah.. but a job is a job even if it is working fast food. So i've been working at burger king for a lil over 2 months now. the people i work with are interesting but i have made 2 awesome friends. I am even helping one out with her upcoming wedding (2011 sometime depending on when her fiance gets a job)

one thing is for sure. i know that fast food is def not what i want to do with the rest of my life. working this job makes me even more determined to get my degree no matter the cost. even though i am not exactly sure what it is that God is calling me to do once i have said degree.. or even what degree to get. but as i have written in many a journal entry before "God reveals things a sentence at a time or even at times only a word at a time. cause he's writing the story not me"

gotta take things a step at a time. as hard as that is for me, being the one who thinks ahead on everything. the one who always has a detailed plan for things. . . .

it has been an adjustment for me. i am used to living in a bigger town. anything fast food or retail being with in a 15 min drive. not so here in upland. so it has been very different for me. i am relearning how to grocery shop... and learning how to get around the area. thankfully i have a new friend who is as directionally challenged as i am but has lived here her entire life so she knows how to explain things to me....

i do however love ivanhoes. totally my restaurant of choice now... though money is tight so i cant go as often as i would like. but is a welcome treat every once in a while.

on a more thoughtful note.. in the past week i have seen 3 people from my old school. one of them i havent seen since summer of '08.

it has just put me in a very thoughtful mood. thinking about the person they knew, cause i really was a very different person back then... it gave me a journal itch. so i had to go get a new note book since i dont have the internet access to do it online. i miss my online journal.... maybe sometime i will put some of my paper entries on here... maybe... we'll see.....
